wellness massage
What is a wellness massage?
Ayurveda, hot stone and herbal stamps are just a few examples of well-known wellness massages. But what exactly is meant by this term? In order to get to the bottom of this - and similar questions - we met with SPA employees from the BIO HOTELS. Our experienced masseurs and therapists will give you background knowledge about massages and treatments.
In principle, the term massage is becoming more and more medical today. People are just doing less and less to keep their bodies and souls happy. Tensions are unnatural conditions that often arise as a result of insufficient movement, one-sidedness and stress. Everyday work life often plays a not inconsiderable role, since many people work in offices these days and therefore have a sedentary job. Unfortunately, the result is often complaints such as tension – or even pain – especially in the neck or back. Here the focus of the treatment can be explicitly determined for the masseur. With a wellness massage, complaints are more in the background. Rather, it's about switching off and "simply having a good time". When people get up after a massage, they should feel like they've been somewhere else
What is the difference between a wellness massage and a treatment?
How often should you do a wellness massage?
That all depends. In the case of tension, you should have a massage two to three times a week, over a period of three to four weeks. In most cases, this period is sufficient to alleviate symptoms and establish a certain status quo. After that, it is enough to treat yourself to a massage from a qualified masseur every 10 or 14 days to maintain this status quo.
In the case of a wellness massage with the aim of simply switching off or to recharge your batteries, the temporal frequency is of course not so decisive. It is difficult for many people today to tear themselves out of their world of thoughts. Too much is on your mind and you have trouble focusing on the here and now. Here, for example, an Ayurvedic massage is a special experience.
