Successful Green Meetings need above all an appealing and high-quality conference equipment for the individual needs of trainers and guests. Therefore, the light-flooded meeting rooms of our green meeting hotels are equipped with modern and high-quality equipment.

Many of our green meeting hotels source their equipment such as furniture, pin boards or moderation accessories from the renowned manufacturer Neuland in Fulda, Hesse. So you can look forward to sustainable conference equipment such as high-quality seminar chairs with special ergonomic features. After all, a healthy working posture that is easy on the back is another important ingredient for successful green meetings. As in all areas, outstanding quality is an important selection criterion for our equipment.

We maintain numerous minimum standards and constantly strive to effectively improve our sustainable management. For example, we prefer to serve regional and seasonal products. Long transport routes are to be avoided as far as possible. After all, foodstuffs that arrive in Europe by ship or even by plane often cause ten to a hundred times the carbon dioxide emissions.

You need a certificate for your climate-neutral Green Meeting? If required, your entire event can be CO2-balanced and climate-neutralized. Afterwards you will receive a certificate.

100 % green electricity

Our own photovoltaic or solar power systems - Already a few years ago, our BIO HOTELS generated as much electricity as 200 single-family homes would need annually.

Green meetings with certified recycled paper

When it comes to the production of paper, it is important to remember that wood, water and energy are required for its extraction and manufacture. However, unlike virgin fiber paper, recycled paper requires far fewer of these components. Ultimately, this sustainably protects the environment and even reduces CO2 emissions. In our Green Meeting Hotels you will therefore only find certified recycled paper or paper from sustainable forestry.

When purchasing, we attach great importance to the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), European Flower and Blue Angel seals. This means that you can expect particularly sustainable conference materials from us. Our goal is to make sustainability tangible for you in all areas.

Conserving resources for the environment

Our high level of environmental awareness is evident in many areas. In addition to conserving resources through the use of sustainable meeting materials, our Green Meeting Hotels also attach great importance to water storage, for example. As a result, member establishments collect valuable rainwater in underground tanks, which is used for flushing toilets, for example.

In total, our BIO HOTELS already have more than 1 million litres of storage capacity. In addition, sophisticated systems ensure that waste heat is fed back into the hot water system and can thus be used again. The use of recycled paper, a generally economical paper consumption, the renunciation of unnecessary packaging such as small containers and energy savings in all areas are further measures to enable you to have a particularly sustainable day.

Event breaks with brain food in best organic quality

Fruit and yogurt, nuts and muesli bars, colorful smoothies - all prepared fresh and varied. It is precisely these foods that our mental engine needs to work. Because if you want to keep your mind fit and fresh, you need the right nutrition to do so. That's why we often serve brain food straight from the field to the plate. "More than regional" is the motto here.

The food should be light and easily digestible - and of course rich in vitamins and minerals. That's what really gets our brains going and lets us hit top form. Fortunately, many of our Green Meeting hotels have in-house fruit and vegetable gardens that provide our guests with crisp vegetables, vitamin-rich fruit, herbs and salads. Heavily fertilized foods that are difficult to digest or even very fatty tend to have a counterproductive effect during meetings. After all, at the Green Meeting you want to use your head and not your stomach.

And the best thing about it is that by directly processing your own products, a particularly high nutritional value is retained in the meals. So you start your Green Meeting more sustainably and well fortified. In addition, we deliberately avoid unnecessary items such as small containers. For the sake of the environment. Certified through organic controls

Sustainable management stands in particular for trust and transparency. Therefore, we have committed ourselves to comprehensive control measures since the founding of the BIO HOTELS association in 2001. In cooperation with independent inspection bodies (ABCert, Austria Bio Garantie and bio.inspecta), two inspections take place in all our hotels every year; at least one of them is unannounced. This makes our sustainable management transparent and traceable. Violations of our strict guidelines are reported and sanctioned accordingly. As our guest, you can always be sure to enjoy certified organic quality. Without compromises of any kind.

When it comes to the choice of sleeping equipment, our Green Meeting Hotels don't do any compromises: With us, you can expect orthopedic sleeping systems - often even metal-free - organic bedding made from 100% organic cotton and natural mattresses made from renewable materials. So you can start your Green Meeting in top shape in the morning.

Many of our rooms are deliberately kept "simple" to counteract the hectic pace of everyday life and the sensory overload of our time. And what about the cleaning of our bedding? Quite clearly: best organic detergent, no artificial fragrances. Period.
