Bad Kohlgrub is a true treasure trove

Settled in the beautiful landscape of the Ammergauer Alps near to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberammergau, only an hour by car from Munich, you will find the idyllic "terrace village" of Bad Kohlgrub. The natural material wood forms the exterior and interior design of the LindenGut. Both the exterior façade and the guest rooms and conference rooms radiate a special warmth and security through the creative wooden elements; two aspects that have also become guiding principles for us in dealing with our guests. Each of our ten guest rooms is themed by a different tree species: a carpenter from the neighboring village has individually handcrafted beds, chests of drawers and bedside tables from regional wood species, which are characterized by the character and scent of the wood - sweet and heavy in the apple room, fresh and clear in the elm.

Our guesthouse Lindengut is part of an organic agricultural unit, with farm buildings and gardens surrounded by fields and woods. Depending on the seasons our gardens provide us with ingredients for our breakfast and meals during business meetings. We want Lindengut to be a place where natural origins and humankind come together – this is why we chose to work after the organic principles and to focus on this holistic approach to farming and life.
