The Villa Orange is Frankfurt's only BIO HOTEL and with only 38 rooms a house with a very personal touch. Simply calm down or work out on bike tours. For us, the Resch family, a responsible use of resources provided by nature is very important. Throughout the house, there was processed a lot of local natural wood. The Planet suites and some rooms are equipped with wooden floors.
 
In our permaculture garden, over 50 varieties of herbs and vegetables grow and thrive. Sustainability is not a niche for us, but a matter of course.

The small mountain village of Steinegg is located at 900 m above sea level, without through traffic, surrounded by the Dolomite mountains of Catinaccio, Latemar, Tschafon, Sciliar and Alpe di Siusi. Directly from the hotel you can reach the earth pyramids of Collepietra, an impressive natural spectacle made of clay and boulders. Steinegg is the first European star village. In the neighbouring village of San Valentino there is a planetarium, an observatory and a solar observatory. If you are fascinated by the cosmos and interested in astronomy, the star village Steinegg is the right place for you! On the planetary path it is possible to walk from Mercury to Pluto in a few hours thanks to the conversion of the sizes in the solar system in a ratio of 1:1 billion.

We are only 13 km away from the South Tyrolean capital Bolzano. Besides the beautiful old town there are several great museums and castles to discover: Archaeology museum with the Ötzi, nature museum, Messner Mountain Museum, the Runkelstein Castle, etc. The spa town Meran is about 40 km away from us. Especially worth seeing is the twelve hectare botanical garden of Trauttmansdorff Castle including the "Turiseum". The cable cars for high alpine hiking on the Dolomite massifs Catinaccio, Latemar or Alpe di Siusi can be reached in 20-30 minutes by car. A dense network of forest and forest paths runs through our holiday region Val d'Ega ideal for hiking and eBike tours.

Our apartments combine timeless design with high-quality natural materials. Precious wood, fine loden and organic cotton create a harmonious atmosphere in which warmth and clarity can be felt. We attach great importance to natural materials. Therefore, in the Biohotel Gerbehof, the rooms were hand-carpentered from our own wood and furnished with natural textiles. Swiss stone pine bags for a peaceful sleep, a natural pillow selection of 7-herb resting pillows, an Energetic pillow or an Alpine pine pillow will prepare you for a soothing night.

Back then, guests still had to walk up from the valley to Serfaus. Luggage was delivered up by ox cart, today the world's smallest subway train commutes through the village! As a family of mountain farmers, we have been working and living with and from nature throughout the year for generations. Our organic farming with many nature conservation measures as a contribution to biodiversity, a 200 KWP photovoltaic system, heat generation with pellets and intelligent energy monitoring; local suppliers provide the majority of the food for our organic gourmet breakfast.
