Our hotel is a house with a long history. We have renewed many things carefully. Nevertheless, the history of the house is noticeable, it even makes our hotel "homely".
 
For more than 90 years we have been hosting guests in this special place and still do so with great passion. Grown up in the quiet and simple valley, we have been committed to the organic idea for many years. We are thus the only BIO HOTEL in the Pitztal.
 
The view over the edge of the plate is important to us. "We look at the whole". We operate sustainably, in the sense of the common good economy, to which we belong and according to whose criteria we act.

Feeling the proximity of Tyrols highest galcier in St. Leonhard in the Pitztal valley. A jewel in the alps between 1.182 to 1.783 meters above sea level.St. Leonhard with its about 1.500 inhabitants and an area of about 223,4 km²is situated in the inner Pitztal where hamlets and villages are scattered in a length of 25 km.St. Leonhard is an eldorado for hiker and alpinists in summer.There are endless tours in the alps of Pitztal which offer you a breathtaking views.The back of the Pitztal valley is well-known by alpinists. St. Leonhard in Pitztal valley is ideal for skiers, snowboarders, hiker, alpinists and lovers of nature. Especially the glacier of the Pitztal valley and the skiing region „Rifflsee“ offer lots of possibilities for active guests. The highest cable car of Austria brings you to up to 3.440m above sea level to the highest summit which offers an unbelievable panoramic view over the alps.Well prepared slopes, fun parks, half pipes and guaranteed snow from september until spring attract the guests. After a skiing you can party in lots of Aprés-ski bars and rustical pubs.

Our services range from wellness treatments to physiotherapy, massages and TCM treatments. We have implemented infrared cabins and saunas, relaxation and yoga areas in our small but fine setting. We are not a wellness temple, a luxury resort or a design hotel. We are simple and different.

In this grown atmosphere, despite corners and edges, you feel at home. The hotel does not hide, but shows its lived side and lets you feel tradition. Inner values are more important to us than outer appearances.

Organic and sustainability is not just a concept at theiner's garten, but a way of life. This already began with the construction purely according to ecological standards and thus in accordance with the sustainable philosophy of life of the senior chefs Myriam and Walter Theiner, who are among the organic pioneers of South Tyrol.

So it is not surprising that only high quality, organic food goes into the pots and onto the table. Fruit comes during the harvest season from son Ingo Theiner, who manages the farm next door according to biodynamic guidelines. Guests can regularly take a look behind the scenes during farm tours, and one or two digestifs from the farm's own distillery are, of course, not to be missed.

And because all rooms were arranged electrosmogarm, noise-protected and with smelling Zirbenholz, one sleeps at night so restful as rarely. You can experience cozy wellness hours here in the 1,000 m² SPA with 12 m indoor and 17 m outdoor pool as well as three saunas, diving and Kneipp pools. You can get active together on guided hikes with senior chef Walter Theiner or on a bike tour through the South Tyrolean mountains - and then find yourself during a yoga session or a singing bowl meditation.

At the Naturhotel Chesa Valisa, sustainability is lived down to the smallest detail. The rooms with solid wood furniture made by carpenters, natural clay plaster walls, floor-to-ceiling window fronts, W-LAN-free and electrosmog-reduced guarantee restful sleep.
 
The large AlpinSPA with spring water pool, three saunas, steam bath, indoor and outdoor Kneipp pools, light-flooded relaxation rooms and 20,000m² garden brings pure relaxation.
 
100% organic since 2007, the idea Naturhotel is an attempt to prove that economy and ecology are not necessarily opposites.
 
Vegan, vegetarian and allergy-friendly dishes are a matter of course. The meat comes exclusively from the Genussregion Kleinwalsertal and the neighboring Allgäu; vegetables and herbs from our own garden and the water from our own source.

Rooms with a view - and attitude
In our 18 rooms you sleep in the middle of nature - only indoors. The scent of wood and the sun shining through the large windows. The panorama? So close that the Dolomites are almost in bed with you. Each room was built with natural materials - wood from the region, breathable clay paints, wool instead of chemicals. This creates an indoor climate that feels like fresh mountain air: light, clear, calm. No noise, no electrosmog, no plastic. Just honest materials, healthy peace and quiet and the soft creaking of the wood to lull you to sleep. And in the morning - this light that makes the day start so softly that you would like to lie down again straight away.

Not yet perfect, but real - and a little greener every day. Because sustainability is not a trend, but our favorite habit.

Simply calm down or work out on bike tours. For us, the Resch family, a responsible use of resources provided by nature is very important. Throughout the house, there was processed a lot of local natural wood. The Planet suites and some rooms are equipped with wooden floors.
 
In our permaculture garden, over 50 varieties of herbs and vegetables grow and thrive. Sustainability is not a niche for us, but a matter of course.

The small mountain village of Steinegg is located at 900 m above sea level, without through traffic, surrounded by the Dolomite mountains of Catinaccio, Latemar, Tschafon, Sciliar and Alpe di Siusi. Directly from the hotel you can reach the earth pyramids of Collepietra, an impressive natural spectacle made of clay and boulders. Steinegg is the first European star village. In the neighbouring village of San Valentino there is a planetarium, an observatory and a solar observatory. If you are fascinated by the cosmos and interested in astronomy, the star village Steinegg is the right place for you! On the planetary path it is possible to walk from Mercury to Pluto in a few hours thanks to the conversion of the sizes in the solar system in a ratio of 1:1 billion.

We are only 13 km away from the South Tyrolean capital Bolzano. Besides the beautiful old town there are several great museums and castles to discover: Archaeology museum with the Ötzi, nature museum, Messner Mountain Museum, the Runkelstein Castle, etc. The spa town Meran is about 40 km away from us. Especially worth seeing is the twelve hectare botanical garden of Trauttmansdorff Castle including the "Turiseum". The cable cars for high alpine hiking on the Dolomite massifs Catinaccio, Latemar or Alpe di Siusi can be reached in 20-30 minutes by car. A dense network of forest and forest paths runs through our holiday region Val d'Ega ideal for hiking and eBike tours.

However, nature is not only on the doorstep, but also in all the 32 roos of the hotel. The texture of the annual rings can be seen on the furniture and the panoramic windows open up a view of the Allgäu Alps. Real wood floors and decorations elements made of wool complement the "directly in nature" feeling.

Balderschwang in the Allgäu.

Curve after curve towards vacation happiness. Even the journey to Balderschwang is an experience, because you get there via Germany's highest pass, the Riedbergpass.

Spring, summer, autumn and winter - Balderschwang in the Allgäu on the Austrian border is always worth a trip: in winter a snowy hole deep in the snow and an insider tip for cross-country skiing fans, winter sports enthusiasts and family. The snowy winters have even earned Balderschwang the name Bavarian Siberia.
In summer and autumn, head for the mountains for cycling, hiking or mountaineering, for example in the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park. Thanks to the altitude mostly completely free of fog.
