The privately run 3-star Hotel Barbara was built in 1911 in the architectural style of the Wilhelminian era and still retains its historic charm today. Behind the lovingly restored façade, you will find a hotel that harmoniously combines tradition and modern comfort.

Our 21 rooms are individually designed - each with its own character and special flair. High-quality materials, stylish furnishings and warm colors create a cozy atmosphere in which you can relax. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower or bathtub and WC, cable TV, direct-dial telephone, minibar and free WLAN. Many of our rooms also have their own balcony - perfect for enjoying the peace and quiet in the middle of the city with a coffee or glass of wine.

Bra läge nära stationen. Trevlig atmosfär i litet hotell. Vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Nyrenoverad rum med sköna sängar, något litet badrum men funktionellt. Ypperlig frukost i trevlig miljö. Finns en liten uteplats på baksidan som man får nyttja.

Nos encantó, tanto la ubicación como el desayuno y la habitación. Todo muy limpio y acogedor. Puedes llegar al centro histórico en un corto paseo igual que a la estación. El desayuno buffet muy completo. Muy buena relación calidad precio. Lo recomiendo totalmente. Y hasta pudimos comunicarnos en español.

We visited Freiburg in late September and stayed 2 nights at Hotel Barbara - it was exactly what was described and what we were seeking....an 5-10 min walk from train station and then from the central location, walkability to the rest of Freiburg. Simple and effective rooms, with a hearty buffet breakfast and the feeling of immersing in the local culture. Comfortable beds and a quiet inn feel. While the inn was wonderful, the highlight was the staff, that went above and beyond to welcome my wife, daughter and I.

L’hôtel Barbara est un bâtiment plein de charme avec une petite touche vintage. C’est une bâtisse magnifique située en plein cœur du centre ville avec toutes les commodités nécessaire à proximité. Le personnel était vraiment à l’écoute et accueillant. J’ai pu laissé ma valise avant l’heure prévue de mon arrivée et c’était vraiment pratique. La chambre était impeccable et confortable ainsi que la salle de bain. Ce que j’ai le plus apprécié était l’offre variée du petit déjeuner, il y en avait pour tous les goûts (sucré, salé, boisson chaudes, fraîches). Tout était délicieux avec des produits bio de bonne qualité et ça fait plaisir ! Je suis ravie de mon séjour et recommande cet hôtel ;) Merci à toute l’équipe pour la gentillesse et le professionnalisme. Tschuss !

Very nice location. Room was good and staff was friendly. However, they offer no secure wifi. I could understand if it came with an extra fee, but no availability at all? I simply needed 10 minutes worth. A good place, this was a huge issue for me.

Petit hotel très bien situé au coeur du centre historique de Freiburg. Chambres tout confort, très bien décorées, litierie récente. Ce sont les petites attentions qui rendent un séjour à l'hotel Barbara inoubliable. Un salon avec café/gateaux en journée, de l'eau à disposition, un petit déjeuner buffet maison dans un salon magnifique. Sans oublier le personnel aimable et attentionné. A recommander!

Petit hotel très bien situé au coeur du centre historique de Freiburg. Chambres tout confort, très bien décorées, litierie récente.
