Hotel Ucliva ***

Already 28 years ago, the founders had a vision of a sustainable tourism in the mountains. Hotel manager and owners consequently followed this vision, and improvements are constantly being done, for the well being of our guests and our environment. Purchases are mostly done locally i.e. in the region. All products are bio-certified. The hotel is heated with local wood and the sun, which means climate-neutral, and we consume eco current with the label naturmade star only. For this reason,Geo Saison chose us in January 2011 as one of the best 100 hotels of Europe. This award honored our efforts and motivates us to go further ahead in the above mentioned direction.
At the Ucliva youwill sleep in delightful rooms with natural floors in larch wood and on biological pillows. From the balcony, you may let your eyes wander across the mountains and valleys of the Surselva-Region.
In summer, the region is perfect for hiking and trekking. You may start directly from the hotel. No need to take your car.  Children have the possibility to take a swim in the near sea of Brigels or they rather prefer to experience our own children's adventure program.
For those who like to enjoy another kind of excursion, we rent “Flyers” (bikes powerdwith electric battery) which allow experiencing the surroundings with little effort. We also havetrailers for children available.
Wintertime is a great experience at the Ucliva. Ski school and chair lift are just in a few meters of the hotel.  After breakfast you may step directly on your skis and enjoy the day on large, snow-reliable slopes. In the evening, our lounge with a warm fireplace, the wood-heated sauna and of course our fine 4-courses menu will be waiting for you.
