Organic agriculture is the most strictly controlled method of production in agriculture and food production as a whole. As BIO-Hotels, we take advantage of this and, as the only association of hotels in Europe, we have regulated the quality of food for our members.
When the group was founded in 2001, we were of the opinion that the rules applied by organic farmers and organic processors should also be possible in our hotels. So in collaboration with the state organic control bodies we developed a regulatory mechanism for BIO-Hotels.
This means that the people checking our establishments want to find out whether our chefs are always examining carefully enough the organic products they get from our farmers and suppliers. You can be a member of BIO-Hotels only if you pass the bio-controls every time.
