Nature A real holiday paradise The little town of Waldeck is located in the heart of the gently sloping hills of Eder highlands. The surrounding area offers breathtaking natural beauties and the Eder Lake, a magical attraction for activity programmes or just for some relax. The “Familotel BELVEDERE” is only 5 minutes walk from the lake and it offers you three accommodation facilities, from the comfortable holiday hotel to the more informal apartments. As the name suggests, each accommodation offers you a wonderful panorama of the Eder Lake and of the majestic Castle of Waldeck, which is the symbol of this region. The holiday region around the Eder Lake is a real insider tip: a 27-km-long storage lake with its picturesque lakeside, numerous bathing areas, sand shores and high quality water. What you should not miss is a ride to the Lake by cableway, or a trip by boat to the barrage and to the Aqua Park (miniature Eder Lake, water fun for children and parents), and of course a visit of the Wild Park... bike tours with children carts, hired bikes – rental station are available along the lakeside.
