Deep rooted traditions and joie de vivre are reflected in colourful Shrovetide customs, such as the traditional ‚Schellerlaufen’ pageant that takes place in Nassereith every three years. The fascinating masks and figures are on show in the carnival museum. Another attraction in this region is the historic Via Claudia Augusta, a road built by the Romans almost 2000 years ago and the only route over the Alps.
