Berlin – Ruppiner Land in Deutschland
A paradise for nature lovers
The sky is a massive dome high above green forests, lush meadows, clear lakes, meandering streams and a network of canals. These are landscapes whose simple images captivate the visitor: poppies at the side of tracks, roads lined with fruit trees, storks on the roofs and in the meadows, and beavers and otters in the water courses.
The original features of this countryside are unspoilt, and the writer Fontane’s descriptions of the region in his account “Travels through the Mark Brandenburg” are as accurate today as 130 years ago when it was written. Here you can walk for hours without meeting a soul. You can sit by a lake and listen to the song of reed-warblers,
wonder at soaring sea eagles or just absorb the experience of nature through all your senses. more about this holiday destination |
