Bavaria – Isental in Deutschland

Emerging from narrow valleys between hills formed by moraines, the rivers Goldach, Rimbach and Ornau wind their way northwards, meandering through alder bushes and birch trees before finally joining the slowly flowing waters of the Isen in a wide valley against a backdrop of gently rising hills. Here in the midst of green meadows lies Schwindegg, with its moated castle visible from afar.

In and around Schwindegg and the villages belonging to the municipality, you can still see impressive farms. The fertile soils are ideal for arable farming and in particular dairy farming and cattle rearing.
