Gastronomy Excellent Bio-Vital gastronomy. Consciously healthy. 100 percent organic. Our regional and seasonal gastronomy is made of 100% controlled organic ingredients and consciously prepared food. It is very diversified, creative and –first of all – aware of the meaning of health and quality. For this reason the Sommerau is the first hotel in the Salzburg Region which has been awarded with the “green chef cap". - We marinate our salads with cold-pressed oil. - We bake bread, cakes and cookies by our own. - The cereals to bake our bread and cakes are freshly ground. - We serve home made jams and creams. - We are used to sweeten with honey. You can always trust the high quality of our food. The hotel landlady herself is responsible for its preparation. During your stay you have to possibility to choose between different menus: Vegetarian whole food For health-conscious people, we offer a combination of vegetarian and whole food specialities. Light regional food with meat Enjoy meat from animals bred and raised in a natural environment. Food without animal proteins For everyone who wants to abstain from animal derived proteins, we offer food according to Dr. Brucker’s guidelines. We appreciate the efforts and the conscientiousness of the organic farmers in the Regions.
