.Aim: only organic products, large choice, gourmet quality.
. Every BIO-hotel offers at least one vegetarian menu and one wholefood menu.
. Inspection contract with an organic control organisation named by the Association (for example, ABG, ABCert, ICEA) in keeping with EU Regulation 2092/91 and adhering to the supplementary checklist for the Association’s guidelines.
All products must come from organic production. Guests must be made aware of any exceptions. Exceptions are possible in accordance with the following:
Minimum standards for Drinks
Alcohol-free drinks:
Maximum of 3 from conventional production.
Infusion drinks:
are from organic production (exception diverse kinds of tea, together with a minimum of 5 sorts of organic tea).
Alcoholic drinks:
Minimum from organic production – 5 regional wines, 1 regional beer.
Minimum standards for Food:
If supplies are not available, exceptions apply according to the following:
If a food or ingredient is not available in organic quality, this must be confirmed by the supplier. In this case, the product must be brought to the attention of guests through the description ‚conventional’.
Products from the Hotel’s own garden, self picked/collected wild herbs, mushrooms and berries: this ‚availability’ is verified separately within the control and sanctioned according to the current resolutions of the Association.
