The organisation of Austrian organic farmers.

With 11% of its farmers farming organically on almost 14% of agricultural land, Austria is today organic country number one in Europe. The commitment of organic farmers, both men and women, is turning more and more of Austrian agriculture into sustainable organic farming and is producing high value organic food.



In this process, Bio Austria plays a special role. More than 100 male and female employees at national and regional level, 250 collaborating farms and 14 000 farmers work together in the bio-network. BIO AUSTRIA is owned by its members. In other words the 14 000 farmers, consumers, the political and media world, the processors and the food trade have a competent partner in BIO AUSTRIA
