The length of time to convert to a BIO-Hotel depends on the status quo of the establishment, the motivation of the staff and the decision-makers, and on the concept of the conversion itself. Experience so far indicates between 2 and 15 months. Above all, it is a question of the hotel getting it right, the people involved feeling good about it and the regional possibilities being used to best advantage.

The support offered by the Association and its partners in the process of conversion is extensive and begins with the signing of the ‚Declaration to join the Association“ and finishes with certification by the organic control authority. From that point onwards, the establishment is a BIO-Hotel, can use the trade mark and will be included in the advertising and strategies of the Association of BIO-Hotels.
