Organic juices of the highest quality

„We came to the conclusion that all the organic juices were of a very high standard,“ explains wine expert Jürgen Schmücking who was in charge of the Best of Bio tasting sessions. „Of 99 products, only one was below par. All the others got marks ranging from good to very good for aroma, taste and overall impression.“ The judges had to evaluate 11 categories – from apple juice to mixed vegetable juice and syrup – in a blind tasting. Among the 18 winners that were awarded 95 and above from a possible 100 points, were not only the big names like Perger, Voelkl, Biotta, Rabenhorst and Beutelsbacher but also unknown suppliers like the vineyard Meinklang with a pure apple juice „Topaz Apple juice (Topas Apfelsaft)“, Hasenfit with the vegetable juice „Beetroot (Rote Rübe)“ and Reinhold Schneider from the Tauber valley who delivered the biggest surprise with his unusual rose juice. The Swiss manufacturer Biotta took part in the competition with the juices Vita7 and Vegetable Cocktail, both of them winning in their categories.
The vegetable juice was given 98 points which was a sensational result, and the high quality of Biotta’s Vita7 juice secured it several awards.
